literally just cry some days cause it can be so frustrating knowing you just want better out of life and it’s so hard what you have to go through just to get that … as I said I know people are waiting years I get it but that doesn’t make my wait any less painfull
karen lMar 15, 2023
i think we all do. mine is outside the US and we have been separated for almost a year
l. l.Mar 15, 2023
🫂 you’re right everyone feeling the same!
we are all in the same page!
just be patient, it will come 🫂
Gyal BZEMar 15, 2023
Me too…I get so depress. My husband tells me not to check it so i don’t have to get depress but its difficult not to.lol.
tas smithMar 15, 2023
best thing to do is just take it as is a waiting game it's very hard not to think about it because this is our reality just remember when your turn comes nothing will stop it
ari reedMar 15, 2023
thanks for all suggestions etc lol but it’s easier said than done I just need to learn not to check everyday and be patient but it’s so hard and I just randomly start crying some days
MP MMar 15, 2023
try to focus on something else in life, it will make the process less frustrating. especially if you have just started the process, you should give yourself a few months before getting obsessed with uscis check case tool, or lawfully or any other forum. Also, I don't know what is your case, but you should understand the process and how long certain steps take, and don't expect it to happen sooner(if it happens sooner good for you), this way you're not going to feel disappointed every time you check the status of your case.
I can't wait to see if the green card is really greenMar 15, 2023
You're not alone
ari reedMar 15, 2023
@Green Green it’s been 9 months now and point taken thank you
ari reedMar 15, 2023
my thing is uscis acknowledge my rfe for medical 3 months ago what exactly are you looking for … you hurry us in sending a response and mind you that medical money was not easy to come by but I get it I will try my best to not check !!
Gyal BZEMar 15, 2023
@ari reed same thing I was thinking too.Whenever they need something from you they send it fast and whenever you sent money(check) with an application it’s done quickly.Like what the heck??And now all we are waiting for is an approval and nothing.
ari reedMar 15, 2023
I honestly think the majority of them really don’t care and it’s honestly the sad truth us immigrants who do it the right way always get a fight not saying I don’t sympathize with all immigrants but come on
ari reedMar 15, 2023
and I’m not even gonna exaggerate my state Baltimore is very horrible I can count on one hand the approvals I’ve seen since being on this app
N WWMar 15, 2023
I would suggest that you delete the app, I'm tempted to do the same
ari reedMar 15, 2023
Lol even with the app is not the problem it’s me going online to my uscis portal like 4 times a day 😣@N. White
ari reedMar 15, 2023
please how do you that @Mandy Thomson I need to do that because I am driving myself crazy
A KMar 15, 2023
@ari reed me also waiting for 130 days after responding to rfe for medical . baltimore FO .
ari reedMar 15, 2023
they are the worst omg and thank you @Mandy Thomson
S AMar 15, 2023
@ari reed I'm the same way as you and in Baltimore. I check it all day even until 1 am when I know there won't be an update lol its definitely causing anxiety and moments that make me cry. We just have to stay strong and hope that things come quickly 🙏 ❤️
Puzzle HeadMar 15, 2023
I suggest calling them. 60 days after RFE response is standard although it can take longer. It's been 90 days you said.. call them!
K MMar 15, 2023
I actually had a dream last night that they finally approved it! I started to cry. It was a wonderful feeling. God’s timing is perfect, hold on to that.
Gyal BZEMar 15, 2023
Calling doesn’t help. They all tell you different things. One agent told me i can ask questions until May 2026
K MMar 15, 2023
Someone on Reddit just posted that they got approved an hour ago. PD Nov 2021 Baltimore FO
ari reedMar 15, 2023
Lol @S A twins 😪😪 that sounds like me constantly checking but I have to stop
ari reedMar 15, 2023
and calling them doesn’t make a difference I did a service request and that served no purpose
ari reedMar 15, 2023
@K M so can you imagine how long 2022 filers are gonna have to wait if someone from Nov 21’ just got approved
S AMar 15, 2023
@ari reed me too!! like you said, easier said than done lol some days are better than others. I'm going to try and just keep it to two times a day, morning and night instead of 892 times 🤣😩🤞
ari reedMar 15, 2023
I just need to check every week cause daily will give you anxiety too 😭😭 @S A what’s your field office ? hopefully not Baltimore
K MMar 15, 2023
Baltimore March 2022 got approved yesterday. I think it has to do with the agents and their work load etc as to why some cases move faster than others. I check everyday because I know sometimes updates are delayed. I’ve also been checking the mail box so I completely understand the frustration and eagerness to be done with this process.
ari reedMar 15, 2023
oh wow that’s good news I suppose my pd is July 22’ but @K M have you seen or heard of any interviews getting waived for Baltimore ? I think they need to start doing that to clear up all the backlog
S AMar 15, 2023
@ari reed yes also baltimore and pd is 6/22. @K M that is great, congratulations!! that gives me some hope!!
ari reedMar 15, 2023
we are around same area well I hope we both here some good news before this month ends @S A
tas smithMar 15, 2023
guys if you're in Atlanta and Baltimore forget about checking anything omg these two offices lord help us 🙏 I have not seeing any approve case from Atlanta in over a year
ari reedMar 15, 2023
Lol 😪😪😪
Gyal BZEMar 15, 2023
Notfolk VA too.Taking so loooooooonggggg
K MMar 15, 2023
@ari yes! Interviews are being waived for uncomplicated cases, there was only one that said they did an interview and it went smoothly. My apologies @SA I was not clear on my previous comment. I saw someone’s post on Reddit that got approved with PD March 2022. I’m still waiting just like you.
ari reedMar 15, 2023
that’s amazing hopefully I can have mine waived because different agents gave different answers so I’ll just wait and be prepared for either when the time comes ! goodluck to you as well 🫶🏽
S AMar 15, 2023
@K M understood!! Hopefully we all hear good news soon! I've read nothing but bad things about Baltimore FO 🤣 but itll happen eventually
S LMar 15, 2023
I’d say check whenever you want if you feel like it. You know it doesn’t help to stop checking (because you just can’t stop), or delete the app (because you will download again), then do it!!
What I found that is not worth it is compare and let it affecting your life and mood.
We all know that the process is not fair, no doubt!! What we don’t know is every process and decision making factors behind their unclear timeline. Now not to speak for them, but trying to think logically (I know again, it’s not fair and never could it be fair). We don’t know how many cases are there or what they looked like. We also have to admit, letting ANY immigrants into a country without filtering or strict security check is not a good thing regarding National Security. All these take times. Imagining you want to rent out your house, all potential tenants looked nice and no bad habits, they all promised to keep the property as good as you expected. You have 50 of them and you have more than one properties. when they all turn in the background check at different times, could you get to each of them as soon as you receive it, says 3am in the morning? I think we got life, that’s not possible. What do you think your priority is like? Your properties or sometimes your safety? Or your tenants need for getting a place? (Not that you have to be careless about them at all) Likewise for USCIS, there ARE frauds in different kinds of categories, only because we are not, doesn’t help them recognize us easier. Therefore I personally try not to compare, simply because of the unknown of others backgrounds and how it’s different from mine that makes theirs faster in processing. Am I jealous of one’s approved sooner than mine, YES!!! I do, and sometimes seeing people posting simply to “brag” about how fast their process is drives me nuts, because they obviously just want to feel superior by posting without sharing any useful insights. Which is fine, their choice! But I remind myself not to do the same. I don’t post how soon or how slow my cases are unless I have to help answering someone, even so, with mere enough information that it’s useful. So, be determined not to compare, to me, is more helpful than telling myself not to check so often EVERYDAY! (I admit, I can’t stop either!😉)
Another thing is, if you can’t stop, what can you do. I’d say, LEARN & RESEARCH. (I think someone already suggested this, which is great!!) Learn what could happen regarding the process in different stages, but be open minded! What happen to one will not be identical to another person no matter how similar the two cases are like. Because there are so many factors involved to twist things around. Knowing that okay, this will happen next, for some it could take as soon as a week, but it could also take up to 3 months or even a year. Noted, let’s hope it doesn’t take that long, but it’s okay to take that long, then put it aside. Do you know your own case? Do you know you enter into a marriage with good faith, if yes, you can always provide proof if needed or even if things get complicated for unknown reasons, is that correct? If you know these answer, then you know it’s a matter of time, not uncertainty. The more you learn about what might or what might not happen, the more you might be able to get a hold of your anxiety, and not let it running wild! Me myself don’t post and ask, “I got approved, how long… or what’s next!” I understand that’s the first thought, but we all know what’s next: “Wait for the f*cking card to arrive!!!” Well, at least in general, but this is what I mean, learn and research what that takes for others, and know an average time or idea what’s going on. If things seem to have gone wrong or odd, then you can start worry and find ways to resolve it. And usually, you already know what steps you’re taking if you’ve been educating yourself on the topics. Again, that helps reduce anxiety.
Now I’m not more experienced, yet I really would like to sincerely share with you how it’s not worth it to let it gets to you. Personally, I’d spent years, many years, to try doing the right way. Sometimes I know it’s my own choice, so if there’s anything I complain so much about this system, it’s my choice still, no matter how unfair it sometimes seems. If I’m not ready to go through it, I always have the choice to not pursuing it. Because of that, I gave it many tries, but I also had various bad lucks at each opportunity. It would be promised to me that it’s happening, but then got turned away. For many years it ate me inside and I hold my life decisions back because I wasn’t certain. Sometimes I looked back and the stress and all still affecting me in some ways, I missed so many chances to enjoy the moment and do things that could be fun and could be different. All because I was worried and depressed. And yes, I‘ve been through many times with tears all of the sudden. Therefore, I know it’s not worth it. You have to talk to yourself if you want that for yourself that you worry this whole time over things you can’t control, or let it go sometimes and enjoy your life with your spouse or family and friends, knowing that it will still happen, it’s just taking longer.
Find a way to alter your perspective, don’t just tell yourself to stop something you know very well that’s not gonna happen, such as checking everyday.
Remember life still goes on, so don’t let this be the only thing in life. Make small goals, that’s achievable, related to this process or not, you can decide, but more importantly, have different things you focus on, not just this one.
I know this is long, but in case you haven’t noticed, you can change it! If I could practice and learn to be calm with this, you can too! Many more others can and had! But please don’t rush and think it happens immediately, it also takes time, practice a little more everyday and it’s okay sometimes you feel discouraged, we all do and knowing THAT IS OK!!
Hope this helps!

@KM, when I spoke with an agent via Emma, she told me, the applications are in a queue based on the RD, and not PD. You know there are always exceptions to the rules. I have March 2022 PD and the wait is unbearable.
So, @ ari Reed, I'm worst than you with checking statuses. I have 2 analysis websites, my USCIS account, uscis status checks, plus 2 apps- Lawfully and another app. I know I check altogether each day more than 25 times, in addition to that chat with Emma probably once a week.
@SM, I do the same, checking at nights-am. @Mandy Thompson, I have all those notifications set up too.
As @SL said, make sure you make realistic short goals, continue with life, don't miss opportunities for fun, advancements and others stuff because of USCIS slow processing. #LET'SJUSTCEASETHEMOMENT# Because life is 'Lifeing'/happening whether we like it or not.

Gyal BZEMar 15, 2023
@Valerie g I’ve been waiting since June 2021 too.Sent medical 127 days ago and no update😭😭😭😭
Ade ObianMar 15, 2023
there is a way to block websites on your browser so you can't check even if you want to. maybe after a week of not checking the urge will start to fade away. sometimes I check 5 times a day. sometimes I don't check for 5 months. it's just madness.
Sun SunMar 16, 2023
@S L thanks for taking time out and explaining.
I still cannot understand how background checks for everyone who have applied in 2020 & 2021 can take longer than who have applied in 2022 & recently.
This wait seems as punishment from both administrations trumps and Bidens.
it’s like during trumps time they hated us & now bidens time they are hating us and want us to suffer to keep blaming trump.
like either way we are the suckers.
S LMar 17, 2023
@sun sun I understand how you feel! I also don’t have an answer, and I think this is only the part that I could try to be understanding. However, as you mentioned, everything relate to national security or things like this is going to be political. I know that whatever truths are, we have no control over. I empathize with people going through long process and hope that would improve. That’s even more the reason I feel that we shouldn’t let it get to us. Whether it’s takeing 3 months or 3 years, if we have to wait, we have to wait. It is what it is. But if I have to wait for 3 years, and suffering from this depression and unknown for 3 years, that wouldn’t help at the end I still feel worn out when I final get it. So I rather spend time on focus on things I have control over. So I occasionally worrying and wondering what’s going on, but not for the whole 3 years and every single days! That would be miserable!
Before this trump and Biden government thing going on, I remember one time I was waiting for a status change case for almost 8 months, 6 months I had to drive without license when necessary. Not to mention a petition that’s holding for 9 years and from the date it started, through out the year, I saw the date expected on the case kept being pushed back! How could you work on the case on this date and go backwards?! I think with that one, it has at least 7 more years to go. The status stuck on case being received and not even being considered or looked at. If I have to suffer that much, I wouldn’t have a life!! This wait would pass, but what’s left in us of that effect would not fade so soon. Before it gets to me again, I want to stop it, so I could work on the healing process from the impact from before, and not adding new ones. I truly hope the same for others that they don’t have to deal with that. Thank you for bringing up different points and sharing your thoughts as well!

Good morning. Just to keep hope alive for some of us. I just saw on Reddit that someone got approved from Baltimore FO Dec 2021 this morning and I got an update of approval for my I-130 this morning as well. Hope others waiting in Baltimore can get some update of progress/approval.
