primary applicant got a green card, dependent applicant is still pending
Hello everyone, my husband got gc approval couple days ago but my application is still pending. we applied together and received all case updates at same day before. Does someone know if it is a typical situation?

Uscis work individually on each application. may be dependent applications has another Uscis officer .

Having diffrent receipt numbers indicates diffrent cases, resulting in USCIS having two separate files to manage. This situation is quite common in immigration processes.

Same here. Husband’s GC approved in December, mine is still pending. We had the same situation with EAD a couple of years ago: his took 4 months, mine took 18 months while both applications were sent in the same envelope. The only thing you can do is wait. I tried contacting them, they say it’s typical.
