Post-Interview Experience – Marriage Green Card ✅
Hello everyone,
Yesterday I had my marriage-based green card interview. It lasted about 2.5 hours. They called my wife and me in around 3:00 PM, then separated us — she was questioned for an hour, then me.
Questions included: color of our bed sheets, how many tattoos I have and if she was present for any (she was for my left arm), what car she drives, how we got to the interview, details about our first date, and whether she stayed over or I dropped her off. They also asked about our joint bank account, who pays the rent and how much, who bought the wedding rings, their price, and proof of shared life (we showed our lease, electricity bill, other bills in her name, and my insurance listing her).
At the end, the officer asked if I’d ever had a visa revoked. I said no, but she explained my student visa was revoked in 2019 when I stopped studying. She updated it, had me sign, then said our marriage was clearly genuine and our case was approved — I should see the update in 2–3 days and get my green card in about a week.
I wish all of you the very best with your cases and hope you get your approvals as quickly as possible. Wishing you all the best! 🙏✅🙌
