portal update
had an interview yesterday for my I130 case which the case was approved. The officer told me I would be able to see the update on the website portal yesterday afternoon but I’ve been checking since, still no update. so does anyone have any experience with this or how long their case status took to update?

@Kae how long you waited for your process to be approve I130?
Kae KaeJun 5, 2021
@matha rivas it took forever to get to this point. we filed before the pandemic 12/16/19. received RFE 5/2020 and we sent everything they asked the same week 5/2020. fast foward a year later after having to get a lawyer, I got a notice for interview which I was kinda confused because they normally don’t interview the petitioner (I am the petitioner) my husband is in another country. so I went to the interview and the officer said they just needed more information about my relationship with my husband. She asked a series of questions about our relationship and after she approved the case and I was soooo happy because we been waiting nearly 2 years for just an approval.

You better log on to your uscis account and check at documents section or case history there you will find notice if incase case status portal work nothing better do that, by the way, can you tell me what your service center was and how did you file your application by online or through the mail. And you are a citizen or LPR.

@berline moroo I definitely have the notice of approval in my portal. I actually printed it out for my records but I just want it to reflect on the status section of the site. To answer your questions, I filed through the mail, my service center was Nebraska service center.

@kae kae, I can understand your point of view, but they have a glitch on their system, so it better you check uscis all three sections' case status, case history, and documents. Usually, they rarely reflect on their case status portal, so get a login and have fun and congratulations.
