Please I Need Help!!!
Dear community, my father filed for me over seven years ago, he is a US citizen. and I recently became eligible to apply for a visa to come to the United States. I am 35 years old so I had to wait that long for my priority date. But here’s my problem, I had a baby 15 months ago and my baby was not included in the original petition for obvious reasons. Does my father need to start a new petition for my baby girl or does he just need to add a few documents for her so she can come with me when I travel to the US.? please help.

My case is not the same, but I filed for my brother and 5 years later he had another Child. I talk to a lawyer and he said just to take the baby to the interview and the officer can add the name or to call NVC and ask them the options. After that we got an RFE so we were able to attach another form and add on the new born. Maybe, your dad can call NVC here and ask them of the options. They should be able to guide him better then anyone’s advice.
