Help!
I have my 1-765 and had my biometrics done in Nov 23 and filed my I-130 & I-465 in August 2023.
I-485 status showing 5 months
I-130 status showing 3 weeks
Filed an I-131 in May 2024 and was denied by email my expedite request because I did not file an I-131 Travel Document when we filed in August 2023.
I am nervous about getting refused entry to go home for my renewal of vows with my family in Canada, who have never met my husbands' family (and is in the Navy) on September 12th and my flight is already booked to depart and I am worried that we will either have to postpone until next year or if I should try to expedite my I-131? The question is whether we'll get approved or not for this renewal. The one thing I always wanted, as a little girl, was to walk down the aisle with my father.
Sent a letter to Congressman
Found out I-130 & I-485 (concurrently filed) case was moved to the local field office in my state on April 11th 2024.
We've already received our RSVP’s and made bookings with venues since we started planning this event last year.

did you apply for a 131 and then immediately try to expedite it and the expedite was denied? it’s a little unclear when you applied for it. @Nattlestar 🇨🇦 🤞

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 I received an email saying that my expedite request for emergency parole was not eligible for appointment because it hadn’t been 30 days since I filed the I-131 Travel Document

well maybe you need to try again. I don’t think a wedding is a reason for an expedite though. they really don’t give a crap about us. I would try again and maybe it just nudges them to give your case a quicker review. @Nattlestar 🇨🇦 🤞

I don’t think they’ll expedite based on that reason either unfortunately. I’m Canadian as well and still don’t have my I-131 over 14 months later. PD May 5 2023

@Patiently Waiting I reached out to my congressman, and filed a consent for him to act on behalf of my Travel document.

I’m hoping so hard that this works out for you. I’ve read recently someone requested an expedite because of dental surgery, and it was approved. They had booked an info pass and talked to an officer in person. Maybe try looking to that?

look up online. I think there is a phone number you can call. I believe you can call USCIS and when it prompts you to select options, just say info pass.

there is a user here who has met with an officer in person, and her i131 has gotten approved. I don’t know how to put y’all in contact with each other.

don’t wait for her. try to schedule an info pass yourself. check online. call USCIS. chat with a live agent on Emma and ask them to raise your concern to a tier 2 officer, they will call you.
