Hi all, I received pink slip, notice for medical deficiency yesterday. My case changed to ready to be scheduled for interview.
Should I do medical now?
or wait for interview letter and then do the medical?
Thanks

Wait for interview. The medical will expire by the time you get an interview.

yes. it is valid for 4 years. do it now or when interview letter comes.
mhzabby soicnarfSep 18, 2021
@ Blessed its valid for 4 years when USCIS have it.But she can't put it down too long. What if her interview is April.
K kSep 18, 2021
@mhzabby thatās actually not correct, its validity once you send it initially with the i485 is no more than 60 days. If not sent with the initial package, it is actually valid for 4 years since the day the doctor signs it. One thing @May 21 can do just to be on the safe side is have it completed whenever you can, and have the doctor not sign it until u know the interview date.

@Kada k she didn't send it with application. Not every doctor want to do the medical and not sign right away.If immigration get all documents when send application the medical will be good it doesn't matter how long. When they send a rfe for mine it said not to send in mail.Wanted to do medical 6 months ago and put it down a lawyer advise me not to.

@Kada that is so true. Medical is valid for 4 years now. who know whats gonna happen in the future if this covid things gets bad or you might need other things for medical examiner to satisfy and sign. Better hurry and do medicals right away. My medicals took me 20 days coz i have to take every single vaccination and i have latent TB. so hurry up and do medicals as fast as you can.

@srikanth is correct you can do your medical now and wait for the interview date, the on the thing now is if itās after October 1 you will be required to be vaccinated, but if medical is done before October 1 you donāt have to be vaccinated

@mhzabby i know she didnt send it with the application, im just laying out the options and validity for each, to the best of my knowledge so far. and actually, it is now adviced to do medicals beforehand and send it with the initial package, as they did update the validity aswell and also interviews are being delayed big time cause of the pandemic. and it doesnt make sense that it wont matter when u do it when u send it with the initial package, cause truly it does. u can check their website, and read carefully what they state. and as per the doctor not wanting to wait to sign, thereās no harm on discussing it with him/her. all they want to do is help us!

No vaccination no green card. I like that.

@ Srokanth Reddy,I have a friend who send his medical with his application since june does it means that the medical will expired after 4yrs?he is has not been called for interview.

I-693 if done and signed 60 days ābeforeā filing is invalid. if signed and submitted less than 60 day ābefore or after filingā is valid for 4 years.
meaning once you do it before filing make sure you file before 60 days. and yes it is best to now file I-693 when you file I-485 to save time.

start the process by doing your vacination and test. once you get interview notice, you can complete the Medicals
