Mom- how you doin my son? everything ok? what’s time there now? did you eat something? don’t stay hungry .. it’s cold here and there too stay warm ok..
Me- ok mom not to worry I’ll tc (in my mind don’t ask about gc plz i have same answer for you maa)
Mom- what’s going on with you green card?
Me- It’s processing right now it will come with in 2/3 months ( In mind the priority date is not even moving an inch tons of cases in hold.. how do I say what’s goin on rn here with USCIS)
Mom- you have been saying 2/3 months for more than a year already
Me- it’s coming mom soon 2/3 more months now ( in mind can’t say it might take 1 more year from now minimum )
Mom- I’m praying for you already. your green card will come next week.
Me- yes it will come soon now ( in mind I wish this priority date would move faster only miracle could turn around the situation.. I wish god would listen my mom praying )
Mom- your dad is doing good too ..I talked to your sister she is doin well there ( she is in Australia rn). keep texting her ok
Me- ok mom will call you later now..
Mom- ok …. your green card will come soon ok don’t worry
and she hung up
and I start checking my case status again and my work schedule and start being stressed and fed up with the situation… and it’s growing more and more
Hope is alive… gc has become a great emotions rn
good luck to all… never let yourself down. you’re parents won’t like you being worried and the best thing is there is someone who keeps reminding you no matter what your card will come next week …

Thank you for sharing this. It's good to see how familial dynamics are being affected. I always have similar conversations with my family and all ending with prayers and hope for the visa approval soonest. I believe it.

Whatever Happens Happens giving a false hope to your family and living in a dream of gc is just opposite, gc might take 2-3 years and noone knows it might denied too...Patience always dont give you a fruitful rewards sometimes it will ripe you up too, so whoever has finished working a year, I suggests to live your life and seek for options...
