I've been waiting since 2018. uscis responded to me two years ago and to my congressman last year that they are doing security check. i saw youtube video where lawyers say that that's just BS and they are buying more time. my lawyer is not being proactive and he says that i should wait. wait for what after 5 years

@promise0f hope ,I am so sorry, we are in same boat, I had taken help from area representative regarding my case, today caseworker said , they sent an inquiry to uscis, do you know how long will take to get a response from USCIS? thanks

@hope hope i've heard that uscis doesn't have to respond to your inquiry or if your lawyer sends inquiry but they have to respond to inquiry sent by senator or congressman

My lawyer is money hungry person , I didn’t ask him for that . I did ask from our state senator two weeks ago , today they said, my inquiry was sent to USIC by them behalf of me. I am already on 34.5 months. hope they consider that .

@Luna to my lawyer also doesn't care and he just wants money. he thinks that it's enough to have work permit and advance parole and he is against contacting senator or congressman which is a red flag to me. i reached out to senator office and i'll see what will they say. but i am not sure will i be able to expedite the case.

@Luna to my problem is that I have work permit and advance parole and i don't know how and what reason should i use to expedite case, except the fact that i have been waiting for 5 years for their decision and i can't get normal job and can't plan any future because i don't know what will happen 😔

@Luna to yeah, that will be the only solution, but i need a lot of money for that. my lawyer is even not mwntioning that so i will need to find a new lawyer for that. and i don't have that money because i can't find a job since nobody wants to hire me because my work permit will expire in few months

you can sue on your own, and much cheaper, my friend did it, and got papers within 45 days. Youtube "writ of mandamus pro se" there is channel Immigration Aid helping out people.
