i have the same issue, my vawa approved since september last year, its been 9 month since vawa approval, i called uscis they said security clearance no criminal record..no rfe, i'm still waiting since sep 2021 i applied for vawa.@summerlover 07

@summerlover 07 a lot of people get stuck at the same stage. You should get your decision soon

@summerlover 07 no, that has nothing to do with biometrics. It could be that your country of birth still didn't send USCIS clearance and USCIS is waiting for that

@Kaya don my vawa approved march 2024 . and I still waiting for my 485 for over 15 months now , no updates

15 months no rfe, but i see people gets their rfe after few months after vawa approval within 6 months, hopeful its a good sign will getting approval soon hopeful..@fadwa bahhi

@fadwa bahhi it’s not approved yet they said “ The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for a decision, as the required security checks remain pending.” I don’t know what that means …

@summerlover 07 I have the same situation. my case also stuck in security clearance. I applied vawa in 2019 dec and completed fingerprint in Feb 2020.

@Kaya don did you talk to a tier 2 officer? what did they responded back? I am waiting since 2019 Dec no RFE no update

@Rosa Alme did you get any RFE ? I got the same response from congress enquiry- case is stuck in security clearance. how can we get their attention to move the cass? I am getting scared I am seeing more rejections nowadays

@Mrkvica M. I was thinking the same, the case will get resolved soon but days are passing its already 6 years plus. my case is stuck in security clearance. not sure what can I do. my attorney is saying just wait. you are geeting pf and EAD on time.

@waiting_since Dec_2019 don’t even bother to call them they don’t do shit , after I called 3 times and I requested an inquiry they sent me an email said: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) cannot answer your inquiry over the phone or through an online service request. You must submit your inquiry in written form and with the original signature of the inquirer. If there is an attorney of record or representative, you must submit a properly completed Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative (Form G-28).

@waiting_since Dec_2019 I got RFE Aug,22 but that was it .. and them the congressman send a request and I got that response above saying is stuck in security clearance …

@Rosa Alme All are in the same boat, from Lawfully community I noticed there are alot of people stuck in security clearance from 2019-2021. I see people applied on 2022 and 2023 are getting approved. its so frustrating

@waiting_since Dec_2019 well after the senator contacted the USCIS they said they still reviewed my 485 and they don’t know when they will finish. They didn’t say about anything for security clearance, 16 months no RFE no interview and still waiting

@waiting_since Dec_2019 I called they said my case on security check and nothing can do, security check clearance investigation can take long time no specific time, honest I’m just let it be, don’t let this situation affect you, I know couple friend of mine got their green card on time faster than I, I don’t know why ours stuck on security clearance, but thank god we getting on EAD atleast..god bless us.

@Kaya Don, I know a few of my friends who got their green cards 2–3 years ago, and some have already become U.S. citizens. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do right now even filing a mandamus will likely be rejected, because the case is still pending due to USCIS waiting on federal agencies for our background clearance. I’ve decided to just let it be and wait for the outcome.
