Pending i485 after VAWA approval
Hello everyone,
My VAWA was approved November 2024, and since then there is no update on the i485 held in abeyance. I have sent a letter to my local office ( Baltimore field office) with my VAWA approval and request to continue processing my i485, I saw an update online that the letter was received.
I also reached out to my congressman man to assist with inquiring about my case and here is what USCIS sent to them ***Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of your constituent regarding pending form I-485 Permanent Residence/Adjust Status.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate that ****** case is pending at the Baltimore Field Office. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security, and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays. Please know that this Application is in queue and has not been overlooked.
Case status may be monitored online at https://egov.uscis.gov/.
is anyone also currently in the same situation? it’s been 6month and still nothing….

@a n did you get any RFE ? I’ve been waiting for 15 months now I didn’t get any update on my 485 since my vawa got approved.

@fadwa bahhi yes I sent medical to nbc in oct 2024 after they sent me rfe in September

@naomi bushira when I noticed them I also included a new medical. also I see you mentioned it was the same local office as mine, how did you get in touch with the senators office? I’ll like to do that too.

my Vawa approved October 2024, since then no update on i-485 then I reached out to congressman and I’m still waiting for positive answer

my vawa has been approved SINCE JULY 2024. They even asked for my medicals. No updates since then. I have done everything, contacted the congress men etc
