pending I-485 religious worker traveling on advance parole
me and my wife are about to travel using our advance parole.
My attorney says she doesn’t recommend it, but all I hear are testimonials of people entering the US back without complications.
I want to take the risk. Any stories on denials?

Religious worker too, used it came back without any issues.
As per the fear monger, I’ve never actually read about someone not allowed in with an advance parole just people saying don’t or projecting fear.

I’m a religious minister with pending I-485 AOS. I was scared to travel with AP as well. I just returned from a visit abroad less then a month ago. I landed in Atlanta and was taken by immigration for secondary inspection. They made me wait for 3 minutes and then returned my passport and AP and said I’m good to go. No questions asked. It was extremely smooth. I spent a lot of time looking on this app for experiences of different people using AP and even those who had illegal entries faced no problem using AP. There’s literally not even one negative experience of someone using AP. So don’t be afraid to use it

Travelled on AP about three times without problems. Religious Minister with I485 pending. Taken for secondary inspection without issues. Depending on airport could wait a little long.

@Vishnu Das appreciate your advice! THANK YOU!
do you know if I need to look for the immigration office upon arrival or I just do the regular line and wait for the officer to take me to secondary inspection?
Neftalí FéApr 13, 2024
@S Martinez I’m trying to visit my family back home but my lawyers told me that I need a justification, like a medical referral.
Vishnu DasApr 14, 2024
@S Martinez Most welcome! You would just use the regular line and the immigration officer will direct you to secondary inspection. It’s nothing to worry because they just check if your AOS is still pending.

Do they ask why you travel or where are you going? Are you still
working and so on?
S Apr 25, 2024
@Anita Karki I just traveled back into the country, literally just waited for 20 minutes in secondary inspection office, not a single question asked and they let me and my wife in.
Anita KarkiApr 26, 2024
S Martinez thank you for your response. so they just make us wait and do verification on their own?

i think the fear is about being denied while outside the USA. that is what they are afraid of.
