been waiting for I-765 going on 9 months, expedite request received 1 month ago still heard nothing

you have to focuse on the I-130 to get approve in case they send you anything related to the asylum, no matter what they will put it on hold untill you finish with your I-130 after you getting the I-130 approved, you need to OPEN your asylum case (meaning if you did not get any updates about it so u have to request to open it) and ask the judge ( if your case was in court. if your asylum case not in court, you have to have your attorney to dismiss your asylum case, bc if you got the I-130 approved, the USCIS won’t give you the green card as long as you have another case with the immigration.

@Sam thanks so much, I was on removal proceedings but my attorney applied for case dismissal and it was approved, what else should I do?

how long it take with you to be approved by the judge? and what office did you apply for? it was joint motion with ICE (OPLA) or just motion to the judge? please let me know the answers, I did apply for motion and got denied saying I need to do joint motion now the next step is to call this number +1 (800) 375-5283 and wait for an agent for about an hour to talk to they will ask you about ur case number, and they can see the last update on their system they will ask you when you got the letter, and they will confirm your information and hve an immigration officer tier 2 to call you within 30 days of your call. prior the officer call, they will send you an email/ text msg to tell you what time you should be getting your call ( this within the 30 days waiting time) when the officer calls you, he will give u a date available within 2 weeks of that call you go there and you show them the paper from the judge and you sign a paper and you good to go .

@Sam my case was “dismissed without prejudice” I called UScis last 2months, I got a mail that said, they’re still processing my case, do I still need to call them???

if it passed more than 30 days, yes you call them bc the lady over the phone told me they should call you before the 30 days is over what office did you apply for your immigration case?

I130 was Nebraska but was later moved to Vermont while asylum was Texas

I believe they called my attorney cos she was the one that did everything and I received the letter

no they don’t call your attorney, and don’t wait for your attorney I changed 3 attorneys, bc they don’t care once they take ur money bc it’s not their own case call the office tomorrow, and tell them and u will get a call sooner bc u already waited 2 months now pls kep us updated of what happened once you have updates thank you

Hi @Sam, so I’m giving you the feedback…. I contacted my attorney immediately we finished chatting and she told me she took the dismissal letter to the judge after 30 days, the case was dismissed and letter signed and sealed. i have my copy that she sent to me.

so it took 30 days to have your removal proceeding terminated? that’s was fast 👏
