payment error at NVC
hey everybody! on the 2nd of September I paid the AOS and IV fee to NVC through their online portal. The IV fee of 325$ went through without any issues, but the AOS doesn’t. it isn’t even being taken out of my account. I have already asked my bank but they didn’t reject anything. on the 7th I logged back in and the AOS was rejected and asked me to pay again so I did that and the same issue happened again, it’s saying in process, but nothing has left my bank account or do I have a transaction ID for the payment like I had with the IV. I already send an inquiry but this is going to take forever and the status of my IV just changed to paid today, so I wanna start and get done with my process but I can’t because of AOS payment.. anyone in the same situation and knows what to do ?

I already paid twice if it gets rejected I’ll do this a third time.. I have no other card since we only have one us account.. I’ll try a different browser next time it clears up.. last time it took 7 days to get rejected..

Hi everyone, please try on IE browser, I have been struggling with the payment for two weeks, and all a sudden, I read the browser requirement, it says IE 8 or newer. So I had another try, and I think it works!!!! Please try!

NVC pay account was going thru some challenges around last week of August 2022 so I don’t know maybe it contribute to that too. I saw the message on my ceac earlier last week. Am sure it will go through soon for you. All the best.

I have the same issue but mine is not yet rejected..also..one way you can make sure your payment went through is by looking at the receipt..if the transaction number is blank..it didn’t go through…my AOS went throug but I received an error message on. the second payment ..when I tried to pay again it says “in process” but it’s really not..so frustrating

@Alma HT same happened with me. Paid on Saturday, just now AOS changed to paid. But IV still in process. waiting for it to be pay now again so can make payment

@Alma tansaction no. on my payment is missing as well. i guess that payment will be rejected and i will have to pay again.

this is such a bad system..there is no way to cancel this payment ourself..but i guess we have to wait on someone to realize we didn’t pay the fee. I also sent an inquiry but who knows when someone will see it..

Also..I’ve come across blogs from people with same issues that couldn’t get this resolved for months..that seems scary. I can’t believe it can come to this. My case has been expedited at NVC so we are apparently only waiting on the embassy to call and schedule the interview..not sure if this will be holding that up now..

i pay 1 day earlier than yours, i pay on 9th. No transaction ID generated also. I hope this coming weeks it turns to pay now😌

I feel the same way...I was looking so forward to receiving this welcome email and start uploading all my documents..we had the documents ready a week ago..now it feels like we are wasting time for no reason..I am also worried that it will again give me the same error when I try again..I’ve read some people doing this a third time 😭😭..and I still just don’t get why one payment went through just fine…and two minutes later the second payment gets an error..just doesn’t make sense

according to nvc troubleshooting, if the status remains in process for more than 7 days, we should send a message thru public inquiry, but the turn around time for them to answer will take 2 long months🥲

honostly I didn’t have any major reasons thst they ask for..i mentioned emotional distress..unstable political situation i. country of origin..financial hardship..but honostly it got expedited because the embassy in my home country is not that busy and has no backlogs..

right after I received the welcome letter..you have to have the case and invoice number..I sent it on the 10th which was a Saturday...they approved it on Tuesday..NVC forwarded the reuquest to Embassy on Monday..and they approved it the next day…

the date it shows is the date we made payment and not the date it was rejected

oh..you’re right..well I don’t know why the heck they changed the receipt to rejected and not the main status that would allow us to pay again..I hooe they know what they are doing and will change the main status soon..soo annoying..we could have had our documents uploaded like 10 days ago

NVC has 2 different payments issue and they only know of one!!
1. fees already paid but the system is asking for a payment - This NVC knows and I guess they have resolved it.
2. Fees are not paid successfully or rejected too but system is saying fee payment is in process. - This is is now new I guess.
also I think the reason is that the case status is showing complete DS 260 which means different system inside thinks we paid the fees.
so go to your congressman or senator and ask for help

Can anyone help me, or guide me other than wait, or any one else problem was solved, please help, it’s getting two people life toxic me and my wife because of an unknown uncleared situation, I tried to pay my IV fee on 11th of september from then it’s been like in process, my payment was never deducted from my account, my reciept portion says rejected, my opening page says payment in process, IV fee payment says rejected upside and down it says in process, 😭, so much pain I am baring because all the people whose problem was solved said that once it was rejected it never said in process and they again got a pay now option on opening page mine situation sucks it says rejected and in process I don’t know if it would take longer or what? Don’t know what to do.

@Zeeshan pls take heart. they will resolve this issue. Can’t believe it’s taking almost a month to accept payment. The whole process is slowed.
