hey guys I have a question if my fiancé renews his passport will that be a problem when I applied for k1 it was a copy of his current passport I sent to uscis

no, not a problem. I have the same issue that I need to renew my passport and I submitted my current passport for applying I-130, I’m going through the counseling process. my attorney told me it’s okay to renew, I just need to submit my new passport (all pages) once my case gets approved from USCIS and sends to the NVC

cause we haven’t gotten an approval yet but we might soon but he wants to renew his passport his passport doesn’t expire till the beginning of 2024 so I don’t know if he should wait

If his passport expires until 2024, wait until you complete the entire K-1 process.
