Parent’s interview
Hello all,
My mom is scheduled for her I-485 interview soon. I want to know if the child that petitioned for her can attend with her. This is because she struggles to understand the American accent though she understands English. Can she be accompanied to the interview? What accompany documents are needed? All the documents as specified in the interview notice have been sorted, but I just want to be sure we are not missing anything. I will appreciate insights on those that have experienced child-parent based interview. Thank you 🙏

@Bibi A yes the petitioner can go with her, I petitioned for my mom and the allowed me to be with her during her interview and translate

Yes, Only a petitioner, a Lawyer or a translator can accompany applicants to interviews
