Parent Became a U.S citizen / while I’m in VAWA process
Hi guys, I just want to know if this is possible. I’m currently under VAWA processing, I was divorced before starting the VAWA process. Now, my parents just become a U.S citizen, do you all think they can file for me since VAWA is taking so long? is there any possibility with them or do I need to stick to VAWA till the end? what do you all think?

Stick to your VAWA. They can petition for you however the wait time will be around 8 years minimum as you’re over 21 so you’re no longer an immediate relative and you’re now in the preferential category.

I agree with @Ren Ren If waiting is your issue, then vawa will most certainly be approved before you get that preferential visa. The one thing you don't want to do is bombard uscis with applications. They're already flustered as it is
