Original Green Card extension needed while i-751 on progress
On December, 2020 after i filed i-751 i received my 18 month extension, with that extension i travelled overseas for about 2 months when i came back, in the airport i was informed by border officer that my extension is actually a copy, Not original. They told me to get a original one if i travel again. Now For New Year we wanna travel again, but i am thinking how to renew it. I asked my lawyer if he ever received the original one, he said no. I if anyone has the same experience or knows what to do, please share your opinion.

@Oli you can call the call center and ask about info pass appointment to get a stamp on your passport. Also what did the RFE ask for?

I'll advise you not to travel without a proper travel document. you will need to apply for i-131 travel document.

Oli Garx, I’m pretty sure you will get approved this month or early December. If you can just hold your travel to avoid any problems. Update us when u get approved.
