@tired from waitingg go for it, hire best attorney in order to win. I recommend Jim hacking from DC.

If you have a solid case with no contradictions that could trigger fraud department to take over, then sure, go for it. I’ve heard mixed things about mandamus myself. From what I’ve experienced, fraud and security investigators are pretty fast in their job. In my situation, they noticed some issues and straight up escalated it to a DHS supervisor. They’ve been mailing people to confirm their statements and even verifying documents from back home. Honestly, going through this is really tough and nerve-wrecking. so consult with your lawyer, see if they can suggest you to get your FOIA for review, have all the objective evidences ready to resubmit and to show them every reason to approve you. good luck!

@I’ll be happy s the foia is useless. they wont release all of it. they will only give u the useless files they have on you. the real files that would help your case would be redacted. they wont release it. details like interviews proceedings or whatever problem they have with your filing will not be released to you

@ob o While it’s true, that’s not always the case. I have a friend who submitted her application through lawyers office. She signed everything herself and they were supposed to double check it and mail it out with the G-28. Well, turns out parts of the application were mismatched. Now her I-485 says she was previously married and even divorced in a European country she’s never been to. Meanwhile, her VAWA statement clearly says she was never married before. So now it looks like a contradiction. That kind of thing can trigger extra review, maybe even an RFE, and it adds more time to the process. She only found out after requesting her files through FOIA and going through everything herself and yes a lot of it was blanked but not your applications. What saved her was catching it early and sending a detailed cover letter explaining exactly what happened and how the office handled the filing. That likely prevented bigger issues. Honestly with how things are right now, you have to be proactive. If you’re giving 100%, you need to give 110%. No one will protect your case more than you.

@tired from waitingg , You should talk to the best attorney you can find. I know some attorneys take advantage and charge high fees, which feels unfair. But if they are experienced and knowledgeable, they may have better strategies and understand how to handle the case properly. Nowadays, it seems like USCIS doesn’t know what they’re doing, and it’s really frustrating for all of us.
