I'm wondering the same. what factors did the congressman asses, what steps were taken and documents provided? we will be looking into this too.

Dee ld, I was exactly in the same situation, my I-485 stayed in ready to be scheduled for interview for like 3months. I was tired since there was no action my I-130 was 400 days but, I called my US congressman and they contacted uscis and guess what with two days of me calling them the uscis scheduled my interview on the 3rd day. After my interview the same day my I-130 was approved. So keep in mind I-130 will be approved once you’re done with your interview and decision is made. But for now it’s still gonna stay in those days until the day of the interview. I will suggest on Monday google the number of your area US congressman and tell them exactly what’s going on, they will ask for your receipt number only provide the I-485 since that’s the one that will lead to approval of your I-130. But contact them ASAP.If you don’t take actions trust me uscis will be silent like that.

I have same situation I applied four months ago I-130 no response just case received 😔😔😔

l wrote the omnibudsman, they gave no real answers to my case. same information as on USCIS website on-line account. then gave details on how to contact USCIS, waste of time really.

am in the same boat with you all. 11 months after interview no update on my case. on my I485 I have interview was scheduled and on my I130 request for evidence was received. Am not going to contact anyone no more. if they like approved it or keep it there. it is just frustrating to see people around you get approved in no time with no stress. this is mental torture and it is unfair. I make over $160k and I pay my taxes. my EAD expires and it was not renewed for me. it is now 7 months waiting for EAD to be renewed. I hate the process.

@akin . ohh taking long time . what’s ur field office ? I had mine 5 months ago , not even the status changed from interview scheduled. Atlanta office . and yours ? how many questions and second interview looks like ? Tks

I have contacted the ombudsmen and awaiting a final response so can’t comment just yet - but make sure you have tried everything before contacting them as they see themselves as the last resort - including trying to expedite your case and contacting your local representative. Because USCIS denied my expedite requests and denied to my congressman, they responded and will look into my EAD delay.

@Akin my lawyer summited some documents to ombudsman last month on my i130 and i485 last week the both status changes to correspondence was received and uscis reviewing it what can I expect and how long do you think it takes after the correspondence was received???thanks
