off topic but need answers please
my father is a us citizen (not by born) he came back to his country 20 years ago and hasn't visited usa. but now he wants to visit there cuz lately he's keeps missing us (his children and grandchildren) he hasn't renewed his passport and his old passport is like 20 years old. now im a bit worried will the us embassy allow my father to renew his passport. i mean will that be a problem? he has an appointment tomorrow. please answer

I was told by the embassy that US citizen can stay out of the US as long as they want.

@O C thanks for the info and today we went to the us embassy for passport renewal and we didn't face any problem. they just asked why he didn't renew his passport for so long.

Yes, great! The only country to have a problem is where he is staying if the proper paperwork aren't approved. All the best
