October 2024
Do you guys think there is big advancement as this retrogression was also big in the past. Every October Final Action date would just turn to current or closed to current but after 2 times in October 2022 and October 2023, the total advancement is just within 2020 which makes no sense at all. I think there are some hidden cases just randomly pop up when consulates started to open again in 2022, at that is the time the retrogression started. These hidden cases could be most likely from consular processing as there is no point to stay in 2020 for 2 fiscal years. Do you guys think this October 2024 or FY 2025 would advance big and can PD 2022 file I-485 in 2025? The retrogression probably started from no where and it affected most category, not only EB3 other worker.

@SC JN yeah but I hope they just push up to July 2021 in October 2024 and October in January. I don’t know where that retrogression come out of no where and processing stop for our cases for 2 years already even chatGPT predict that September 2021 could be current in late 2024 early 2025 based on the historical processing time

@Th Ng honestly at this point no prediction is working this is by far the worst retrogression in history. idk what the hell is going on. it’s been 2 years and it’s extremely slow. they are not even letting people file for AOS. if they don’t advance in Oct 2024 or let people at least file for AOS I think it will be hope less situation. EB3 skilled category is also retrogress but their date of filing is still “Feb 2023” and most likely will be close to current in oct 2024. in the history the date of filing for “other workers” was close to current and specially in October always current but from past 2 years its not the same.

@sam young I think in February 2023, they discovered more backlogs that needed to be worked on so they just retrogressed from that time, I think it's been 1 year and 8 months since they been doing that, I hope that gonna return to the current where they left off in February 2023 in the near future 2024 or early 2025

@SC JN If all 2020 gets GC by October, they should start to cover it
