If you are from the list of countries that USCIS is pausing adjudications, you will need to wait until the ban is lifted.

Unfortunately your situation is not unique. Since December 2025, USCIS has placed an adjudicative hold on all immigration benefits, including naturalization, for nationals of 39 designated ""high-risk"" countries. The list started at 19 countries and was expanded to 39 in January 2026. There is currently no set timeline for when this will be lifted.
That said, you do have options. Under federal law, USCIS has 120 days from your interview date to make a decision. If that window has passed or is approaching, you may have grounds to petition a federal court to either move your case forward or administer the oath directly. I'd strongly recommend consulting with an immigration attorney as soon as possible to evaluate that option and any other legal remedies available to you. Do not just wait this out passively.
