They don’t automatically choose an interview location by themself - you chose that embassy in your I-130 to interview in Tokyo. Why did you do that?

what you can do is transferring her case to Nepal through public inquiry let them know that she no longer lives there and they will be able to transfer it for you because I did that for my husband and when you are doing it don’t forget to gives proof that she lives in nepal

@Mo . i remeber very well that i chose interview to nepal i know she will not be there after some time still dont understand why it went to tokyo embassy

Probably plane tickets, boarding pass or even withdrawal of Japanese visa will do. I’m in the same boat. I clearly stated Nepal to be the embassy but her current home address is Australia. I’m pretty confident she will get Australia’s embassy. i have seen so many people go through this.

@lax lax apartment lease, doctors visit, if she’s working a letter from her employer stating that she’s working there, bills that she pays with her name on them and money transfers that you sent to her over there.

@b m i have sated kathmandu embassy i-130 file but it went to tokyo! did you get respose alreday form nvc.

I experienced the same, all you need to do is submit a public inquiry and ask them to move your interview location with an explanation

@lax lax i transferred my husband’s case from Paris to Nepal. Just submit public inquiry to nvc with proof like bank accounts of Nepal, stocks, etc. it took me 4 months extra but my husband case has been transferred to Nepal and his interview is at the end of May.

@czu czu did you already fill up ds-260 form before case transfer to nepal. i have already paid fee to nvc but i dont know i have to fill up ds-260 form or wait until interview location change to nepal

4 months 😓! @lax lax I have not gotten anything from NVC as of yet. Hoping I get KTM instead of Sydney. Let us know what’s happening with your cases.

@b m well I submitted an inquiry explaining the situation and the next day they transferred it

@lax lax yes i had already filled up ds-260 before case transfer to Nepal. And i didn’t have to pay fee again for case transfer.
