NVC DQed ?
Submitted on 9th November and all documents status now changed to “Accepted” today 11/17 does that mean it’s DQed, and message in NVC says all Applicants documents are received and accepted. Do I get separate email in my email account saying DQed?

@unicorn life I need a small piece of information. I applied CR1 for my spouce and during the NVC process, I uploaded our court marriage registration certificate. NVC denied my marriage certificate and asked again to upload from correct issuing authority. I did a quick research and learnt that I need to get the marriage certificate from local ward office. Can you share your experience on obtaining marriage certifcate from the local ward office
unicorn lifeJan 25, 2024
@ yes you have to go to local ward office and fill out form and they will issue marriage certificate within few hours, all you need is citizenship from both party and passport size photo and for verification they might ask some proof like wedding pics and etc or even court marriage certificate is sufficient.

Thanks for your reply. Additional clarification, I am a US citizen married to a Nepali girl. For Nepal, I am a complete foreigner, I am now confused which ward office in Nepal should I visit for getting a married registration certificate? Please do advise
Thanks!

@Rajendra Maharjan, does your parents live in Nepal? if so go to local ward office with one of your parents along with property documents or something that proves they are permanent residents of that area then you should be able to make marriage certificate. I don’t see any issue making certificate from your spouse ward office either it doesn’t make sense then saying it has to be from guys side of ward office that total BS they did talk with someone else higher on that office and just don’t tell her to ask question like can I make from here? just fill out the forms and proceed sometimes asking questions makes them answer BS could be they don’t know the law or ghus leena ko lagi pani hunasakcha so
