In May 2023 Islamabad issued IL for July 2023 who are DQ'ed till 18th August 2021 (CR-1/IR-1). It's really strange if your husband didn't get IL yet

yea that’s the only tricky part, your husband will need to find a job over there or have someone arrange one for him. then he needs to either get work permit or residency, only then you can transfer.

i tried reaching out to my congressman and they ask for the reason. i gave them the reson that I am literally doing everything on my own here. i have a full time job and a kid. its not easy doing all by myself and I really need my husband here. But they said it has to life threatening or a huge financial loss

yea I know give it till the end of December 2023, then the backlog should be over and people will start getting their ILS in order.

Islamabad embassy won’t expediate unless you are dying. That is the o key reason they would expediate. It will take about 7-9 months based on current speed to get to July 2022. my wife is waiting for interview since June 2022

reach out to your congressman and put pressure on them to raise the issue in congress and ask Blinken to explain. I have done the same but the more pressure they are on, more likely they will do something about it

I reached out to the White House like 3-4 times and they only said to wait! but I’m transferring the case to Abu Dhabi. Islamabad is ridiculous, like even India and Bangladesh are faster. Bangladesh covered up to DQ date of Dec 20 2022!

Abu Dhabi is currently on September 2022! they are scheduled for July 12th.

but your husband will need residency to change.

inshaALLAH october 24 is expected for your husbnad interview as its takes almost 15 to 16 months in islamabad now they are takimg interviews of people who DQ from NVC in august 2021
