NVC DOCUMENTS
Good night community. was reviewing some items that needs to be submitted to the NVC and was confused about something and figured maybe you’ll can help me. Since some of you’ll have passed this timeline of yhe process already. For the affidavit of supporting when submitting the documents to NVC, which form do I use? is it Form I-134 or Form I-864? because some i was reading about it, and some place has i-134 and others i-864. So am confused which is the proper form to use for the K1 I-129F process. #K1 #I-129F

I-134 for k1 …

Form I-134 affidavit of support is generally used when the visa sought is a nonimmigrant visa while the Form I-864 affidavit of support is required when the foreign national is applying for an immigrant visa, either at a US consulate or through adjustment of status with the USCIS.

but fiance k1 will be considered nonimmigrant at that point or immigrant? because there will be a status change when they get here, so wouldn’t that be immigrant visa? which makes the form I-864?

for K1 use I-134 because your fiancé is technically coming to the US as a non immigrant because you are yet to be married. If you were already married then you would use a I-864

Hey Felix! did you already get your case number from the NVC?
Felix LacayoJan 18, 2023
@Alma , no news yet. they way its looking based off NVC processing dates, it’ll take maybe 60-90 days to get a case number… Also, I ran into an “issue”, apparently I got approved twice so I got a second NO2 on January 12th, so if they so if they did not sens my case to NVC until the second approval then I am already 30 days behind.
