it’s been 15 days my I-730 was approved but I still haven’t got my welcome letter from nvc!! how much long will it take?!

Current wait time to get welcomed letter is 31 days my dear. So you have 16 more days to wait according to NVC.

NVC don’t send welcome letters for approved I-730

for me the next thing that happened was that the status on USCIS website changed to “sent to the department of state”. there was a letter created around that time but it didn’t arrive for around a month. I got the case numbers for the nvc case through an inquiry with a congressional representative a few weeks before those letters finally arrived. still waiting on interview date.

the letters weren’t exactly welcome letters. O M is right about that. it was more of an acknowledgment that the case had been forwarded, telling me to wait for further instructions.

@d c after my case got approved I got a letter saying the case was approved and forwarded to department of state!!! is that same one you are mentioning

if that’s the letter from USCIS, no. I got a letter from the department of state, indicating the number that the embassy and the nvc uses to track the case. the letter was dated almost a month before it arrived, so I think nvc forwarded the case quickly to the embassy

they don’t send welcome letters just wait for the case to transfer to department of state and then wait two mo ths for interview in home country

It varies from case to case. But if you have been waiting this long, you might contact your congressman’s office. most of them have staff that can help. what they would do is contact the agency to ask about the delay. they can’t magically make it go faster, but sometimes the attention on the case helps. They might also help you get nvc case numbers if you are missing those.

@TMT WIN, hello i just saw that nvc had sent me a letter i was on vacation before and I couldn’t see it, but yes they send letters I thought they do not!
