I feel you and it's hard to remain optimistic when you don't know what's going on. But, seriously, no telling. Sep 2022 PD ROW, CRP since Dec, Current since Jan. Got the same response from Emma live agent that "I have been regressed" as well. Looks like there are others in the same bout. I'll be okay waiting if I knew they are actively reviewing my case, but with CRP we can't even know what's going on and that's the frustrating part of it. According to USCIS' own FAQ "Once a visa number can be allocated, USCIS will resume the processing of the application but not every action that USCIS takes on an application results in a change in the message displayed in the online case status." So, essentially a black hole status until a significant step is reached (decision/interview/,,,). Someone said it best "your case is pending, but not your life" so I'll keep living my life and try all the possible inquiry channels until a decision is made. In the last bulletin they mentioned that employment categories won't likely move for the rest of fiscal year (that's almost 6 more months), so that tells me a) there is still a massive backlog, and b) they're going to try to adjudicate most of cases with PD before Jan 2023 (current final action date) in this year. Let's see

same boat! Jan 2022 PD ROW, CRP since Nov 23. My case is LIN. Requested e-request without response. Consulted with my attorney, and they said it’s within the normal timing until Jan 2029. The worst part is I can’t even figure out if they work in sequence. I’m so worried that my case is the unlucky one got missed. 😭

There’s a 7% country cap for green card issuance each fiscal year. This explains why people who are current but their cases are still pending in CRP status. case in point : you could be ROW and current with a pd of July 2022 from country X and some someone else current with a pd of Dec 2022 from country Y will be approved and issued a green card because perhaps country Y has not reached it 7% cap for the fiscal year. There was a bill submitted in 2023 to increase the cap for family based green cards from 7 to 15% and remove the cap for employment based GC but I am not sure if it was passed by congress. here is the link https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/6542/all-info#:~:text=Introduced%20in%20House%20(12%2F01%2F2023)&text=This%20bill%20addresses%20issues%20concerning,for%20employment%2Dbased%20immigrant%20visas. hope this helps clear why the backlog in CRP and people who applied recently are getting approved.
