Not sure which center I should look for?
My lawyer submitted all my cases at the same time on March 2022 ONLINE. My cases start with IOE####, I thought it would be National Benefit Center, but we submitted responses to RFE for both I-130 and I-485 to Santa Ana center almost 25 days ago. Anyone knows which center I should look at for processing time? Also, my progress for I-130 changed to 7months from “Taking longer time..”. Any similar timeline?

if your number starts with IOE you’ll look at national benefits center for your I-130. for your i485 it goes by your local service centre. so if that’s Santa Ana use that 😊 hope this helps. I know it can get confusing. usually only the I-485 gets transferred to your local center.

@miaa brown thank you so much for the detailed response. I gussed so, but I got confused when the RFE responses was asked to sent to Santa Ana center as well. However, we submitted our respobse online, not sure how long it would take for them to proceed. Are they depended of eachother approval?

@Mary E some say the I-130 needs to be approved before the I-485 can be approved however I have seen cases where the I-485 ends up approved first. if 30 days pass and you still don’t receive an update about your RFE response, use the Ask Emma Feature on the USCIS website and just put “Agent” and then click the option to connect with live chat; sometimes they don’t update things by mistake. or sometimes they claim they didn’t receive your response so just to make sure I’d get in contact with them once the 30 days have passed and just be sure. for future reference if you ever have to send a response to an RFE again, I would mail it to them using Priotity Tracked mail so that you’ll never have to worry about them claiming they didn’t get it, and if they do, you’d have the tracking as proof. This process can get super stressful super fast, but sometimes we just need to take a step back and take a breath. my I-485 was just approved today after 14 months. it’s been long and stressful but definitely worth it. And you honestly don’t need to thank me, I’m here if you have any other questions that I may be able to help with 😊

@miaa brown thats sweet of you. mine is already more than 18 months, and actully I recieved the update on both that they have recieved the responses, but I am not sure how long it would take for them to review the documents. Probably 2different department are processing each case, but I just need more accurate timeline since I am expecting to see my family in Canada
