NOID Timeline
Had my I-485 interview December 2020, got NOID in June 2021, submitted response to NOID in September 2021, no response, no decision up till now. what should my expectation? Because I got information from people that when NOID decision takes too long it will most likely end up in DENIAL.
Although I made a expedite request for my EAD renewal 3 weeks ago and I got approved one week later without any request for evidence for expedite.

@El Berakkah Ola, you’re not the only one on this bolt. I responded to USCIS by submitting all the evidence to show that my marriage to my hubby was not fake, because I also received (NOID) letter in August last year. I am still waiting for them to make decision, but for me I believe that my case must be approve. You can tell your lawyer to do follow up on the case by sending them a letter. Please stay positive

not sure if it helps, but I did my interview in December 2020 and did not receive response yet.

they denied my case after I responded to noid then they moved my case to court for deportation but the judge approved my case and I got my green card last month

@Qa Ya How long did it take you to get a decision after you responded to NOID?
done, not doneDec 11, 2022
well, after the first interview in 2020 I have already been through 2 more interviews and a NOID. I had a second interview in April 2022, when I got there she said it was only to collect any new documents since I've already had an interview. I gave her my payrolls and said my wife was not currently on a payroll since we've just had a baby and we had just got our work authorization 2 months prior (it took them 15 months to renew the EAD). so 2 months after this interview I received a NOID asking how we were able to provide for ourselves for 6 months without work. we prepared the response and same day the response was delivered to them, a new interview letter arrived in my mail box. we had this 3rd interview and we were treated as if it was the first. so she said we would hear back in 2 weeks. she asked me if I had questions and maybe I should kept quiet, but I couldn't help myself and asked about the NOID. she seemed surprised so she looked at the PC again and said she would look since she didn't know why they didn't add it to the case papper work. we also provided a copy of the response to her. well, it has been almost 3 months and nothing. 5 yeas and counting...

based on marriage
1. applied i751 on dec2015
2. interview on June 2017
3. noid sent based on first interview
4. previous lawyer told me to skip it and reapply
5. new application sent on 2018
6. interview on aug 2021
7. received noid again
8. my case went to court
9. judge was cool with me and gave me chance to continue with uscis 2021
10. official denied on early 2022
11. case went back to judge after everyone asked us questions (court time was around 3 hours and half)
12. finally on same court day I got approved and judge talked with uscis why did you do that with me and why you gave him hard time and he really was so made for me bcus I been through a lot hard time
oh forgot to mention my case also went to ICE they just waiting for judge decision 🥹
Qa yaDec 11, 2022
so my advise guys if there is a chance to go to court just do it bcus the process there will be faster and better from uscis
and now I applied for n400 almost soon will be done from this trip hopefully
Maverick MaverickDec 11, 2022
@Qa Ya so could they have possibly deported you despite you and your child having a child together?
Qa yaDec 11, 2022
no it’s not that easy if you didn’t do anything illegal in the past you should be fine
judge kind of liked me bcus I graduated from US as engineer and completed my master degree he asked me about my school and stuff like that so he didn’t find anything bad on my record to say no to me and my wife was with me in court room and our answer matched 95% almost

Hello my people
Please I need urgent help. I consulted with a lawyer on my I-130 denial decision and I am very disturbed by everything he said. He said my wife (the petitioner) does not have to sign the appeal forms, he also said he is going file the appeal close to the deadline date which I am very uncomfortable with. And I have already paid the legal fees.
Please I need opinions.
Qa yaJan 10, 2023
no he has to sign the appeal form
Maverick MaverickJan 10, 2023
you mean petitioner has to sign?
done, not doneJan 10, 2023
I am sorry I cannot help much since I do not have the knowledge to help you. I do know you already paid a lawyer, but if I was in your position feeling uncomfortable with the current lawyer, I would try to organize my thoughts and write questions on a piece of paper. then I would try to schedule a consultation with a different lawyer. it does not mean you are going to switch lawyers, but you will have a valid second opinion to help on your case. A different lawyer may even give you a hint of what may improve your odds. while this forums are great to expand our knowledge, it does not replace actual help, especially when things start to go wrong. I paid about 100 dollars for a 45 min consultation before sending my NOID response, I think it helped my case, but most importantly it helped my mental health.
