so I literally just received a notice of intent to deny in the mail. they got most of there facts wrong. saying my leasing office told them my lease is not legit, wtf. I’m confused because it’s not showing what I need to submit to proof the validity but I have a deadline till June. what to do? do I need to get a lawyer?

@s l talk to the people of the apartment complex to give you a letter that you live there and your lease is active! try to submit proof of that! in the NOID they have to told you what they need from you! or better talk to a lawyer better

@s l ,
Sorry! All you need is to reach out to your apartment lease office with a copy of the letter. Have them correct the "mistake " and the number and Individual to contact for clarity. Pls do it ASAP.

If I were you, I'd get a lawyer. Good luck.

I received NOID 2 years ago so review the notice carefully, as it will indicate exactly what the petitioner is required to be provide before the specified deadline, if you have an attorney work with him on this.

Please don’t be stressed! As @Haruna Mohammed stated read carefully the NOID and respond. I too, got a NOID 2 years ago and we just gave USCIS everything they asked for as well as the kitchen sink. Less than a week later, if I’m remembering correctly, my application was approved. We did NOT use a lawyer. If your case is straight forward and there are no criminal charges or records in the immigrant’s background you can do this process without the need of a lawyer. I am currently awaiting on my I-751 application.
