Hi @lioness of Jesus Christ This information is accurate. Most people’s cases take a while for them to arrive to NVC. Sometimes, USCIS can be slow with their process. It can take anywhere between 15-90 days for your case to reach your embassy. Once your case is in transit to your embassy, you will receive the welcome letter from NVC. After you receive the letter, you can check your case status. Once it’s in ready status, you can continue with the next steps.

Looking at VisaJourney timeline, it looks like they are just receiving end of February cases. You should at least have received status in few days or even week. They should have just transferred it instantaneously like I130 cases. I129f cases are not their priority.

@lioness of Jesus Christ First, you have to receive the welcome letter from NVC. The K-1 process is very different than the I-130 process - it takes longer. Once you receive the welcome letter, you check your case status on the CEAC site, if it says “ready,” that means your case is at your embassy. At that point, you can complete the DS-160, pay the visa fee, and schedule your interview. Then, you can schedule your medical exam for at least a week before your interview.

@Jessica V we are on the same boat. received Noa 2, on 28th of February and did not hear back from nvc if they received our case. today we are 54 days from approval and we die not make a public request to nvc. their timelime is 45-90 days. shall I contact them or wait for the maximum timeline?

@ You can send them an inquiry. But, even if you do that and receive the case number, you have to wait for the welcome letter to do anything.

I have 62 days and I received the welcome letter yesterday. but I have to wait the embassy in DR process my visa. I filled form DS 160 but I can’t make the appointment until my case says ready

hi what do I do if I moved and it being sent to the embassy where I used to live (I recently moved)
