No I-485 Receipt After 6 Months – VAWA Based AOS
Hi everyone,
I filed my Adjustment of Status (I-485) based on an approved VAWA case. My package was delivered on July 3, 2025, and as of today I still haven’t received the first receipt notice (I-797C).
I wanted to ask if this delay is normal for VAWA cases, or if I should be concerned. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation or waited this long for the first notice?

Mine in 2023 took one mont and 10 days.
I think is not normal. did you talk with your lawyer?

for the receipt is usually tops 3 months

That’s a very long wait for receipt. I got my receipt for i485 in 2 months. Chat with customer service.

nothing unusual. most of these people are talking about before Incumbent president. it's normal it is taking up to 7 months to get receipts

i also applied for adjustement after vawa approval on July 2025. no receipts. @M G S I believe you are correct.
