my interview was Jan 4th, in Chicago officer said everything ok but still needed to review and should get a decision by mail. my status still as interview scheduled, just frustrating. they won’t process my EAD, can’t get a state ID or drivers license or open a bank account or get a job. 😡

You can file for citizenship with a pending I-751

I be your brother o and hell yea you can file for citizenship while your 10 year greencard is pending. You can file under the three year rule or you can file under the five year rule. Also waiting is a choice not lack of options

@NY anonymous Did you hear any update? my interview was February 22 at federal plaza still no updated officer told me she will approved and give me white paper saying Your application/petition has been recommended for approval.

@amy B, still no update the officer told us that our case will be approved. the lawyer told to wait 30 days to 120 days to take a decision.

what does the lawer say you should do after the 120 days if they don’t dive an answer?

got check the process time in web site filter by field office and see the process times . nyc field office for I-485 form is showing 10.5 months to 33months to take a decision, if no receive update in this timeline I got send a case inquiry. hope they update soon

Hey guys, any updates on your cases? Were you finally approved? I'm in a similar situation, had my I 751 interview in the middle of July, went fine, took about 45 min. Officer was very talkative and asked me and my husband plenty of questions as well as gave many advices on how to manage our relationships 😄 At the end she said that she makes decisions quickly - 2-3 weeks and we'll be getting it by mail. So far (1.5 months later) no updates. Status is still "Interview was scheduled". I'm really exhausted at this point, have been married in US for almost 6 years now and still have to go through this tiring process 😫
