new card being produced
NO RFE for medical and just got this update on my 485. vawa approved since Feb 2023. Filed both 360 and 485 in Feb 2021. Don’t they require new medicals? I submitted medicals with the 485 in 2021 though. Is this an error?

@joyful ❤️ if u did your medical with one of their approved doctors the medical won't expire,not sure when the paw came out though

@Shari , I heard that medical form is valid for two years. suddenly They updated any form has been signed by November 2023 by civil surgeon will be valid and no any explanation date.
In my case , I did my medical on December 2020 with rest of the application, however Uscis officer added my expired medical form to my 485 on July 3.2024, and so far they didn’t ask for any renewal medical.

I had the same update, and it turned out to be my C31 work permit. Even my lawyer had me convinced that it was my Greencard and unfortunately, it was not. But, with an approved VAWA you have a VERY good chance of having your Greencard approved.
After I received my new work permit, I got an RFE for medical records, I sent it in and my i485 updated about 1 month later to RFE received. I have been waiting for my case to update for 74 days now. I am in FL, filed VAWA and i485 at the same time Oct 2021. I have received 3 work permits. They reused my fingerprints and background checks, they asked for 1 rfe 1 year into processing (for my evidence again), they transferred from Vermont to NBC. Then they denied my VAWA ending of last year because they claimed that I filed past the time to file a VAWA (after a divorce). They (USCIS) was wrong and I have to have my lawyer get with the Ombudsman and a few extra steps to get them to reopen my case. This set me back about 3-4 months, then they closed the "appeal" case and started back up with the original case. Now, I have received the C31 work permit, gotten the medical RFE, which I sent and the case was updated to "RFE received".
So, best case you are getting your Greencard... worst case, you are getting a new work permit.
In my book, they are both positive outcomes, just 1 outcome is MUCH better 😉
