Congratulations! I have a query regarding COA (Class of Admission) on you and your dependent. One of my friend recently got 485 approved and he received 2 approval notice 1 in which COA mentioned as L2 and one in which COA mentioned as E10 for his daughter and got 2 approval notice for his wife 1 has COA as L2 and other COA E19. My friend is on L1 visa. what COA is correct and must be on his daughter and wife's approval? Thanks!
kay rJul 31, 2024
@ I haven’t received the actual notice yet so not sure of COA. but I was on O1 visa when I applied
kay rJul 31, 2024
@Have Faith my dependent case just got approved yesterday. so no interview
Aug 2, 2024
@kay r - would you mind sharing COA once you receive actual notice? Any idea how many days it take after approval to dispatch green card?
kay rAug 3, 2024
@ I haven’t received anything yet, case was approved 1 day after new card being produced. They said I should receive actual notice by Aug 15.
kay rAug 6, 2024
@ I just received my approval letter. My COA is O1 and my dependent in h1b. these are the visas we were on when we applied for 485

@kay r did you receive your card?
kay rAug 6, 2024
@Mrkvica M. No but Just got a notification yesterday that it was mailed.
Mrkvica M.Aug 6, 2024
@kay r i got that notification on Friday as well and no tracking number 😔
Aug 7, 2024
Tracking number you can get from uscis representative via chat
Aug 7, 2024
@kay r - Do you think COA as O1 for you and dependent as H1B is right? Check with your attorney it seems uscis has problem in their system. My friend was told to check Category in GC. Please check with your attorney as I am not expert. just sharing info what I got from my friend
kay rAug 7, 2024
@ I’m not quite sure I understand the significance of Coa. but yes I can check with attorney to see if it’s correct.
kay rAug 7, 2024
@ so I was able to read a couple articles where it seems like the correct COA is usually on the card and not the notice. In my case, it should be E17 I suppose. so I guess we wait for card and see
Aug 7, 2024
@kay r - Just to let you know category on green card seems correct. Looks like due to system issue is only with approval notice COA
kay rAug 8, 2024
@ that’s great to know. As long as it’s not an issue
Aug 8, 2024
Good luck to you and everyone who are waiting for their green card. I hope you guys get soon
