apologies for my ignorance… but what does it mean retrogress?

Bulletin had this note in the bottom for EB3: "Although retrogression has not been necessary for August, it will likely be necessary to either retrogress the final action date or make the category “Unavailable” in September."

@Patience Hope They had a similar note in July bulletin as well. But they ended up not retrogressing in August, meaning the dates stayed the same. Now they're hinting next bulletin will have further retrogression.

@Patience Hope that's what they're saying. Or it might even become Unavailable. But things should improve in October, when new fiscal year starts.
