Nephew says he wants to immigrate into US as Biologist
I know that biologists and academics tend to get treated better her in the States moreso than in my home country, but I'm wondering about his possible prospects if he enters the country just as an exchange student first without a green card. Would it be possible to transition smoothly into an employment visa after his education is complete?

He can enter on J1 visa and in US and can apply for eb1a/eb1b if he has some publications
