@German Refugee I If you have your green card in hand you can go back and request a new card without the limited term on it. You shouldn’t have to wait for your citizenship. The same thing home true for your social security card.

@My P How sure are you about that? I have my new ssn without restrictions since 1 week. The superviser said today at the DMV that i cant remove that. I need people from NC who actually did that.

it depends on the state @German Refugee but the DMV should be able to take them off if you show them your green card . easy peasy

@German Refugee ya mine says limited term. it expires in 8 years from issuance date which is the max term of a drivers license. I don’t know why this matters.

EAD. It states that I’m already a green card holder and gave me the maximum 8 years. when I was on work permits it always expired with my visa. @German Refugee

@German Refugee When you apply for a new DL after your current expires then you can update your legal presence document to your greencard and that will automatically remove the limited term.

@German Refugee That will be an unnecessary lie because it’s really not a big deal that your DL says limited term.
