NBC timeline question.
It's been eight months since I submitted biometrics and my PD is March 23, 2023 PD and 485 submitted at July 2024. Case is still at NBC. When I contacted live agent, I didn't get the TAT and my interview has not been waived nor been scheduled. I was told that it is at the discretion of the officer whether to transfer my case to the field office and that I will be notified of a new processing time in the case of transferring the case to the field office.
1. Can I get approval directly from NBC? Or does it have to go to field office to be approved?
2. if my case, go to the office, Will the processing time start again on the new queue?
3. any idea that I'm in the normal processing timeline?

I would really like to know what you mean by TAT, from my understanding, cases have to be moved to the field office to get approved, although some say it doesn’t.
if it gets moved to field office, your processing time remains the same and doesn’t start from the beginning.
I am April 2023 and I’m waiting as well, we don’t know the timeline. I pray God help us facilitate it soon.

I am also March 2023, I am seeing a good number of April and May 2023 getting approvals, don’t think they are following any particular order. I think we can still get direct approvals from NBC and I don’t think case moving to a local office increase the processing time, rather it is a positive development that one might get approval sonner. You are still in the normal processing time according to their website. fingers cross.

1.) NBC approves cases aswell.
2.) no if it goes to the office , it’s to be interviewed immediately. a decision however can be given on the spot or they make some people wait after interview for a decision
3.) you are in normal processing times , I have older pd of 8/27/19 which allows me to send inquiries but you are in processinging time according to received date

Are you in the EB2 category? I am EB2 PERM with a priority date of March 20, 2023, and I filed my I-485 in October 2024. How were you able to file your I-485 in July 2024? We weren’t eligible to file in July.

Thanks for all your heartful comments. I was little wondering as I've seen many of friends approval in same category EB2NIW who has later PD. Hope all of you hear good news soon. @Adam Abdul, I'm in EB2-NIW and my PD became current July 2024

in July filing date cutoff date was March 22, 2023, so you could not file then. maybe that’s the reason your case is stuck somewhere.

@John Wick FAD DFF on July 2024 was Mar 15 2023/Mar 22 2023...and my pd is before both date.

My PD is Mar 6, 2023 and I-485 was submitted in July 2024. I am still waiting, too. I-765 was closed with "Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means" in Sep 2024, but I don't know what other means I had. My I-485 was closed with "Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means" last week, but I don't know the reason.
