National Visa Center
Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know what this means my case was sent to NVC and I’m trying pay the visa Fees but I got this letter below.
Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing. The principal applicant should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time.

This is because you're not classified as an immediate relative so nvc will hold your case until it reaches you're priority date or close to it before they send you a welcome letter

Jnr ChMar 18, 2021
kj F24 in unmarried son/daughter of LPR
Jnr ChMar 18, 2021
Yeah over the age of 21 they'll refer to them as son & daughter and not children
k jMar 18, 2021
what confused me is when I check state department for that exact same category they have it as F2B.. I guess maybe they are the same... and it looks like they are processing 2006 to 2007 now.. the reason being that there are limited number of visas allocated to that category anually..
Jnr ChMar 18, 2021
@k j yes by law they are not allowed to

My visa class F41, and have received welcome letter from NVC Islamabad Pakistan since more than 1.5 years ago. Whenever I check my status on ceac.state.gov login/iv with require information of case number and invoice number, I am reading a message "Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing. Is this quite NORMAL or something wrong in my case?
Do I need to address this matter somewhere on right forum if you can guide about.
Thank you for your help.
