N400&I751 completed, Certificate Issued: officially US citizen.
Hello Family,I have finally taken my Oath of alliance to the United States! I want to take this opportunity to Thank the Almighty for making it possible. I also thank every brother and sister in this lawfully App working day in and out helping and sharing experiances to uplyft others. There are many of the good people out there especially ‘Rocco Forte’ ( Thank you brother/sister, I in particular learnt a lot from you, God bless you!). Those that are still waiting, please keep up with the faith and trust the process. Your day to the final journey of your immigration process will soon come. If you are a prayer person, please keep on praying and live the hope. I know sometimes it is really frustrating and can be worrying as well. ranging from checking your status every day and to some almost every time of the clock. Calling the USCIS number and having to wait for a long time to speak with a live person, having to send RFEs, etc etc. All these can be frustrating but trust me, it will come to an end soon with broad smiles and successes! The long wait will worth it for you in the end. This country ( USA) is the greatest country there ever be. Generous and full of opportunities. live the hope and believe that, all the goodies that this country has, can be and will be shared and enjoyed with you as well. whenever you feel worried, dance over it, pray over, take a walk and maybe sometimes read about other people’s stories to uplyft yourself. A lil story: on the day of my oath ceremony, a guy sitting next to me became a friend with me a few minutes after talking. We took a few photos together and we shared our stories and how happy we both are for becoming a US citizen at last. This guy revealed to me that, it took him 21years being in the US here before he can finally become a US citizen. We never discussed futher as to why that long number of years: but boy, I was like “wow”!!! wow!!! wow!!! Sometimes when you think of it, no matter how worried and desperate we are, there are some who are going through way more than you can ever imagine. it’s my opinion that, the only way to overcome all the fears and worries, is to, keep the faith and trust the process. US is a generous country, Your day and time will come soon in God’s name. In the coming days, I’ll be deactivating my payment subscription and be with regular App. meanwhile, if you have any questions regarding my I751 journey and N-400 journey, I will be more than happy to share my journey with you. Gob Bless You All.

@Nic B Thank you. Mine i751 was at Texas service center. it has been there until I became eligible to apply for N-400. a few days after they received the N400. I got an update that the i751 has been transferred to NBC. after 4 months of filling for the N400, I was scdedule for an N-400 interview. the interview letter did not mentioned anything about my I751 and did not mentioned a combo interview. but on the day of the interview, I went with my wife and I found both the i751 application and the N-400 application on the officer’s desk. The officer interviewed my wife and I together on the I751 and later asked for my wife to wait in the lobby as I get interviewed on the N-400… after the interview A letter was given to me stating that, I have passed the civic test but a decision cannot be made at this time. We went home, two days later, I received a notification that my I751 and N-400 have been approved. 6months after that, I took my oath of alliance to officially become a US citizen. I hope this helps.

Great @Flex acer! congratulations again! I’m debating applying for the N-400 next year.

@Flex acer I live in Arizona but they sent my application to Vermont…. I hope the process won’t take too long there. They didn’t have any dates available for you before that for the oath? a friend of mine got his oath the same day as the interview (California)

@Flex acer, also what was asked during your i-751 interview? I already had an initial interview for the conditional green card just to tell me I was already approved, and they validate some basic information about my wife and I.

@Nic B yes some people have a same day oath ceremony, some a few days after the interview some It can take as along as I did or more maybe so. I guess mine took that long cos it’s a small county and there’s not often judicial ceremonies taking place as often as other big cities.. As far I know, my county had a ceremony Last January and this July. I wasn’t in the January group but I was with the July group. it was a big gathering. I heard some people saying they were waiting to get more people. I’m not sure how true this was but I also met a lot of people during the ceremony that waited for as long as I did to to get an oath ceremony date

@Flex acer Thank you for your quick answer! I’m hoping Phoenix has a lot of people and they do it more often too! My friend in California was definitely in a place where there’s a lot of traffic (San Diego). I just hope it won’t take 2 years to get there lol

@Nic B I hope and pray that it get approved soon. last year, USCIS website published that they can approve some I751 without interviews. I pray yours get processed fast and get approved soon. If you become eligible to file for N-400 and still waiting, I’ll suggest you to file for the N-400 as soon as you become eligible. sometimes that gets your I751 moving. I think it helped my case and I also read here that it helped a lot of people having pending I751 cases.
John SmithAug 2, 2023
@Flex acer thank you! I also pray for people in my situation too to get approved faster than the last few years. The previous administration definitely created a backlog and the new one didn’t improve it much…. I will be eligible June 2024 for the N-400

@Nic B during the I71 interview. the officer sworn both me and my wife and later asked us to sit. she asked about our marriage, -how we met - where we have travel together - if we are still living in the same address - asked to show things we have joint together eg. Joint Bank account, credit card, car notes, taxes etc - What we did the past etc. These questions are really not difficult to answer. one should be able to answer them correctly after living with a partner for two years and/or more. I think the officers just want to establish that the Marriage is still on and it’s legit.
John SmithAug 2, 2023
@Flex acer I agree! for my first interview it was the same, very basic questions.

while applying N-400 (marriage to us citizen) am i supposed to be married for 3 years to my us citizen spouse or being a green card holder for 3 years? I got my GC 1 year after I legally was married to my US citizen husband. it means that we will be married for 3 years in September 2025, but I’ll be a green card holder only for 2 years by that time. I’m confused.
F
Flex acerAug 2, 2023
@E E You can be eligible to apply for Citizen at the 3rd year anniversary of your green card. that means, after 3years of being a permanent resident and still married to a US citizen you can be eligible for Naturalizatioj application. You can apply 90 days before your 3rd year anniversary of your green card. In this instance, since you will be 2years into being a green card hold in 2025 you will therefore be Eligible for Naturalization application in 2026 since that’s that year you will be clocking into 3years of being a permanent resident. You can apply 90days before the 3year mark of the green card you have

Flex acerAug 2, 2023
@E E adfitionally, I’m not sure what type of green card you have. but if you have the 2years green card also known as the conditional permanent residency card, You will need to apply to remove the condition after 1year and 9months. that means, you will need to apply to remove the conditions within the last 90days before your conditional green card expires.
