n400
I went to my interview of the n400 and I passed it with the gift of the 3 years but the official denied me citizenship because he told me that I could not send 90 days before the 3 years now I don't know whether to appeal or send it again

when was ur green card issued? and when did u apply for citizenship?
Adam TJul 12, 2025
I am sorry! Not sure what does it mean that you could not send it 90 days before
This is on USCIS website:
You may file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, 90 calendar days before you complete your continuous residence requirement if your eligibility for naturalization is based upon being a:
Permanent resident for at least 5 years; or
Permanent resident for at least 3 years if you are married to a US citizen.
Please see our USCIS Early Filing Calculator page for additional information.

@Noel Ortega What's thr reason stated in the denial letter
seema fnuJul 12, 2025
u were supposed to apply after 2/4/2025 and u applied on 2/4/2025
Noel OrtegaJul 12, 2025
@seema fnu yes
Noel OrtegaJul 12, 2025
@D D because I applied before the 3 years

@D D During the interview and review of your application, the Immigration Services Officer noted that y filed your application for naturalization before you completed the required 3-year residency requirement. In order to qualify for naturalization under section 319 of the Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA), you must have been a lawful permanent resident for 3 years before filing your application.

@Noel Ortega Did you travel and stay outside of the country within the 3years of your residency if yes then probably justified that you didn't meet the requirements but if not you're expected to file 90days before your 3 years as stated on USCIS website
Noel OrtegaJul 13, 2025
@D D i traveled only one time for 6 days in total
Adam TJul 13, 2025
@Noel Ortega I honestly do not see that you did anything wronge. Also, if the officer would deny your application on this ground, would have done that the moment received your application and would not need to interview you at all. So, is this what written in the denial letter ?!
Noel OrtegaJul 14, 2025
@Adam T this is what written in the denial letter
for that I already applied for n-336 because I am sure everything is really good in my application but I don’t know experience with this application and how long is taken
Adam TJul 14, 2025
@Noel Ortega That’s really sucks! I am very sorry 😞! it suppose to be straight forward!! I hope someone with some sense look at your case! All the best!!

@Adam T Thank you very much, brother
I also filled my application online and if I guess ahead of time the page does not allow me to send it because I sent it a day before to fill it out and I could not continue because when I put the date of my residence it forbade me to advance until February 4
