My dad got scheduled for interview today he filed in January 2021. Even if you contact them they won’t do anything as it’s still under normal processing time. Best thing to do is wait.

@light Yagami, I have nothing except waiting. My file is in the field office since August 5 2021 and I do not what prevents them from scheduling my interview.

Depends on which officer has your file some officers have more work to do than others.

if the officer is raciest then my name will have a huge impact. My first and last names are very obvious Muslim names and it could cause some Delay sometimes.

No don’t assume that. You’ll have it soon just be hopeful. You’ll miss this wait time after you’ve been approved. Try to stay positive :)

I appreciate your support and I hope this whole matter goes faster. I did not visit my family for over 6 years and currently I am stuck because I do not want to travel then my interview comes then j am forced to come back quickly.

Even if you get scheduled the interview will not be right after the notice. My dad’s interview is in mid March. So you could visit your family but make sure you’re back before 14 days of your interview.

I decided to wait until the interview. I am Egyptian and sometimes they close airports whether in Egypt or even here in America especially with omicron. I hope everything goes well with your dad.

Yea you never know what’s gonna happen with Covid. Thanks for wishing for my dad. He will get approved but my step mom will not. She doesn’t speak a word of English also I don’t like her. She’s gonna get denied for sure lol

Please let us know when your dad get a his interview and how it goes. for your step mom, if she is over 50 ,they might wave the English test.

Yea his interview is on March 11, 2022

She is not over 50 she 49 I believe

then there is high probability that she might fail but they give another chance maybe after a month and they only test basics.
