N400 pending consideration
interview date: 12/3/2020
inquiry feedback from USCIS:
“Our records indicate that your application is pending consideration. We will contact you in writing if any additional information is necessary to resolve your case. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your application.”
Is anyone with idea of what this means and what is going on from Phoenix AZ area?
Would it be due to backlog or something else?
Any similar experience?

Yup. That’s my case too. I had my interview in November 2020 and still no decision. I contacted my congressman and the update i got last week is that my case under extended background check. The obvious reason is that because i am from the Middle East. My guessing is that you are in the same boat.
P.S. I am a law abiding resident, never broke any roles, not even a driving ticket.

My advice: contact your congressman or senator (preferably Democrat) and have them inquiry on your behalf. My case started moving again after 5 month of nothing because of my congressman inquiry.

thanks, how do you get contact of this congress men?
Al JApr 19, 2021
Amek Amek it depends where you like. If you want to use your congressman log in to house.gov then enter your zip code and it will show who represents you in the house. You can use your senator help rather but you also have to know wheo is your senator. once you pick a rep or sen , go to his webpage. In the services section there is ‘help with federal agency’. Pick that option and it will ask you to download a form or more that you need to fill and sign then scan and email. Wait for 2 days and someone from your congressman staff will contact you. You need to sign the forms because doing so will allow your congressman to inquire in your behalf.

thanks Amek!
@AI J, which country are you from if you don't mind.. wondering if my case is stuck there because of it.
Al JApr 22, 2021
Amek Amek my case was stuck in Baltimore Field Office for 5 months after my interview. When my congressman inquired about the case, the case was transferred to NBC the very next day. I know that USCIS move cases between offices to distribute workload. I still don’t know when my case will be resolved but the congressman office asked me to wait a month. Let’s hope we will hear something positive in a month from now.
