N400 Milwaukee field office
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new here and just thought to reach out with a couple of questions. I received notice that my N400 is scheduled for early Oct and I am over the moon! I am curious to know if anyone has recently gone through the interview process in Milwaukee. How was it? Did they offer the oath ceremony the same day? If not, how long did it take them to schedule your ceremony. TIA!

Hi. fellow Milwaukee interviewee here. Had my interview on August 26th morning. Arrvied about 40 minutes prior to go over notes and study. This will also allow you to find much needed parking around the build. Pro tip: There’s parking around the building but be prepared to walk up hill. You can go one block down (the block directly opposite of the front doors.) You can park on the street there. Checked in upstairs after security. You go upstairs and hang a left. The lady at the window will scan your index fingers on a pad and also take a photo of your face without mask or glasses on. I waited for about 30 minutes. My interview went pretty smooth. Nice gentlemen, young, and friendly overall. First they go through civics test which takes about 5 minutes. It goes by fast. Then you read what is displayed on iPad. The you write with your finger on the iPad what he tells you. The majority of time was going over the document which took a good 15-20 minutes. Be sure to print out your n400 for reference. They will also ask you if anything has changed since you filled out form. I got recommended for approval on the spot. Overall very nice pleasant experience all the way around. My status took about 5 days to update on USCIS portal. I’m still waiting on oath ceremony to be scheduled. I am also doing a name change though. So, mine will need to be a judicial ceremony vs an administrative one. I believe they run the admin ones more frequently while the judicial once a month. If you aren’t doing a name change you may get a same day ceremony if you are lucky to be there on the day they are conducting it and if they have room. Otherwise, I’m told about a month. I hope that answers some of your questions.
