my FO is New Orleans. Yeah it's pretty embarrassing, not sure if they are understaffed, underpaid, or simply it's policy (or all of above). The fact is it's embarrassing and even when I finally get to the point of becoming US citizen, I will likely look back at this whole process with a laugh. I went through similar process in England and it's generally complete in 6 months

The officer canceled your interview because your I-751 file probably hasn’t gotten there. He/She seems to want to do a combo interview. Personally I will still show up there for the interview 😅

Yes, while waiting to be called in for my N-400 interview, I saw an officer telling a lady he couldn’t go ahead with her N-400 interview because he didn’t receive her I-751 file from NBC, so he said he was going to have to reschedule her for another interview once he gets her file, that’s probably what happened to you.

thanks, but the question is why the NBC is piling up I751 files and not sending them to the right field offices? some cases have been ready to be scheduled for an interview for years!

so i finally got my interview scheduled but I will need to reschedule because I will be overseas that day. Any experience to where? How long it generally take to reschedule after I submit my request (by phone)? anything else I should be aware of?
