Hi Flex, it might be a combo interview or not. My advise: 1. Go with your spouse 2.politely talk the security into allowing your spouse in, 3. and tell the officer that you expect a combo interview before he commences the N400 interview. . Someone shared his experience in a Facebook group at Nashville. Read his message below and plan accordingly. ************************************* I had my N-400 interview through marriage with a pending I-751. I passed the citizenship, but he couldn’t make a decision and said that needs to do another interview for the I-751 with my wife. She was with me and security didn’t let her in, I thought I will do a combo and told him I can tell her to come in so we can finish it up. He said no. He wasn’t very pleasant and just rushed everything. I have been waiting for 18 months. Very frustrating. I was hoping to travel and see my mom after 5 years. But now the case is in limbo. Anyone with the same experience please provide some timeline feedback, as to when and what’s the next step is gonna be. He didn’t provide me with any information as when the interview is gonna be. Is there anything I should do now??? I already provided enough documents. Can I reach out the office by sending him a mail with other supporting documents? Your help is very appreciated. Congrats, @Flex Acer! Please be prepared for a combo interview, bring your spouse, and request your I-751 be adjudicated at the same time. Also, please read the interview notice carefully, as I've heard stories here and on reddit that some similar cases noted that spouse should accompany the petitioner with a pending I-751 in fine print even though the interview notice didn't explicitly mention a "combo" interview.

@Flex acer, request it the same day, but it may or may not work. I fear sending them a letter may confuse them. Worse case, they adjudicate your I-751 after your N-400 interview.

You must answer 6 questions correctly to pass the 2008 version of the civics test. Applicants who filed their Form N-400 before Dec. 1, 2020, will continue to take the 2008 civics test at initial exam, re-exam, or N-336 hearing. Applicants who filed their Form N-400 on or after March 1, 2021, will also take the 2008 civics test at initial exam, re-exam, or N-336 hearing."

@Flex Acer I’m in the same boat as you, my N400 interview has been scheduled but my i751 is still pending and the interview letter made no mention of me bringing my spouse

@ bugs burger, does this mean those that file in 2021 or 2022 will be taking the 2008 version?

you will have a combo interview, bring your spouse, I had an interview on the first of December for my N-400. I went with my spouse and we were waiting to be called and officer came outside and called my name when I approached him, he told me that he would like to interview my spouse first, we were separated and my spouse was in around 10 minutes after that I went in and first he conducted the interview for I-751 and at the beginning of interview he said he was going to reschedule my N-400 because of pending I-751. at the end of interview for I-751, he wanted me to go waiting room and wait. after 10 minutes he came out and took me in the room and told me that he approved my I-751. and then I had an interview for my N-400. result is, decision can’t be made. I checked out my case status for both and I saw change only for my I-751 which is fingerprint was taken
