n-400 oath ceremony experience ??
Hi everyone ,
I have been waiting for the notice of oath ceremony for a month since my interview. The officer approved my application the next day. I requested name change during my interview.
I know it might delay the oath ceremony date . So I sent the request to wirhdraw my name change request and requested USCIS to put me in the no name change queue ceremony.
Could anyone please share your experience of no name change oath ceremony ? What is like? Did you also get sworn in with other 10 or 20 people in a big room ? Were you checked in by an individual immigration officer in his or her office when you arrived the local USCIS office? Or were you sent to the ceremonial room upon your arrival ? How many immigration officers will be there to administer the oath ?
Thank you very much in advance !

Kelly happyMay 12, 2021

Hazel cMay 12, 2021

Hazel cMay 12, 2021

Kelly happyMay 12, 2021

Rocco FortéMay 12, 2021
Lmao why didn’t you just wait till after Naturalization before doing name change?
Rocco FortéMay 12, 2021
Doing it at your N-400 interview is just pushing your luck.
Kelly happyMay 12, 2021
you are right , Rocco. I should have not requested name change
Hazel cMay 12, 2021

I’m in Nashville Tennessee I got approved on my N400 since February 3 and they accidentally scheduled a oth ceremony in same day after I walked away then next day my status changed to need to rescheduled because I didn’t appear then they said will put me on the system for next oth ceremony and still waiting, I haven’t requested any name change
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
I am in Nashville office too. I am still waiting
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
sounds great I will let you know if I get any updates thank you
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
I will do the same . thank you
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
I thought no name change is supposed to process faster than name change....
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
it’s all same I believe so still take time tho
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
how long have you been waiting? will it be a group of 20 or 30 people to get sworn in together ?
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
I had my interview and got approved in same day 02,03,2021 and they already had oath ceremony on 03/25/2021 and I wasn’t included so I got super mad and call them 40000 times and they said we have entered your information on the system to be scheduled for oath ceremony so hurtful waiting, and I believe the was 10 people now it’s more
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
I hope we will get scheduled asap. tired of waiting. What number did you call the Nashville office ?
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
hopefully, sick of waiting I apply for my wife i130 it’s been 1 year and 7 month of silence they just said we received it , it’s too bad and painful,
I called Washington office and they said Nashville office will contact you and the number the called me from you just can answer you can’t call them back
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
1 year and 7 months
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
You need to sue since yesterday
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
you think I can sue them ! I can’t , because they always right and we always are wrong let me explain it for you , first of all if you argue with them your file will be thrown on the top office desk for years because the officer think you don’t respect him , secondly I did more than 10 inquiries and all answers I got from them it’s said your application still on our prosssing time , so you can’t complain because the processing time its changeable like it’s was 14 months then 18 months then 22 then 26 months so you cants say why it’s take too long oh it’s still in our processing time so you cants do nothing especially if you have LPR but it’s waaaaaaay different if you are US citizen
it’s very deep situation
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
I disagree. if you sue them they will adjudicate your case in less than 90days because they don’t wanna face a judge
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
You are overthinking it. People sue USCIS all day long and get their cases approved. It might be pricey paying a lawyer and all but it works! If you can afford to, sue the hell out of them bro
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
okay I don’t mind to try it I can offered up to 20k just to get approved but thank you for your advice but I will try it and I will let you know how is will be but you might be right and I’m wrong , but I will give it try I promise
I just go find good lawyer and ask him to sue them ? or it’s supposed to be for special lawyer ?
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
Check out Jim Hacking on YouTube
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
he will sue them for you but he charges over $4000 dollars for the entire process
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
I agree with what Rocco said on this. you can sue them for commanding them to make a decision on your wife's case. However, for your citizenship, you just have to wait because they have already approved the application and put you in a queue for ceremony
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 19, 2021
thank you so much guys for the recommendations , and I promise to sue them immediately and I will contact Jim hacking and see the YouTube channel
that’s mean a lot for me to advice me for do this , hopefully will go right and get approved
and I will let you know what is going to happen for my case , I appreciate you rocoo
Rocco FortéMay 19, 2021
All the best brother. We will wait to see your update
Kelly happyMay 19, 2021
I will let you know, too if I receive the notice of oath ceremony ...
Kelly happyMay 20, 2021
Hi Mohammad, did they tell you how often they host a no name change ceremony when they called you ?
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 21, 2021
#kelly they haven’t told me about this unfortunately
Kelly happyMay 24, 2021
#mohammad, have you heard anything about the date of oath ceremony?;
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 24, 2021
#kelly No I haven’t heard anything and still watching if they have any oath ceremony soon and I’m not included lol
have you ?
Kelly happyMay 24, 2021
#mohammad, I have not heard anything either. but I heard the name change ceremony was scheduled for June 14th. if the last no name change ceremony was in March 25, it has been 2 months, they should schedule a no name change ceremony soon......
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 24, 2021
# Kelly so you think heard name change ceremony oath for June 14th and you not included with them ? yes you right last one was March 25
but I don’t think it’s matters for the oath ceremony if you change your name or not ? it’s does matter?
Kelly happyMay 24, 2021
#mohammad: i was not included in the name change ceremony for June 14. generally speaking , no name change ceremony should process much faster than name change ceremony because they do not need a judge to administer an oath......that's why i do not understand why we still have not received a notice of oath ceremony since the last no name change ceremony was on March 25, which is very not normal ...
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 24, 2021
#kelly oh okay got you , it’s so crazy and painful believe me , and not make sense at all they always different
but I think and I believe it may be next tow weeks hopefully we get something for it because it’s been more than 2 months already .
Kelly happyMay 24, 2021
#mohammad: I have reached out to my local Congressman to contact the Nashville office on my behalf...I will let you know if I hear anything back
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 24, 2021
#kelly yes please let me know if you hear anything thank you so much
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 24, 2021
#kelly my Number six one five eight three nine three three three six if you don’t mind to text me and ask you a couple things if that’s okay with you and thank you in advance
Kelly happyMay 24, 2021
#mohammad: OK, I will text you later today... do you know how many people will attend a no name change ceremony ? 20 applicants ?
Mohammad AbukhadairMay 24, 2021
#kelly thank you so much , I heard it’s between 10-20 max usually in a good circumstances but in COVID was less and some was on ZOOM.
